funny mom of 6

If you will focus your attention to my list of "people we love" I have added a new link "funny mom" I have named her. If you got an e-mail awhile back, hysterically describing a mothers trip to the grocery store w/her 6 children and coming home with a pack of Pokemon cards that she did not intend on buying.......this is the Mom. If you have no idea what I am talking about...just check out her blog anyways. I don't know who she is or where she lives, but her stories about her kids are flippin' hilarious!!! Maybe it helps to hear someone elses crazy adventures b/c then some of your own might not seem so crazy. Anyways, shes supper funny and I love reading her posts...check it out!!!

Mason joins the head injury club!

well, I can't find my camera so I just found a cute picture of Mason to put on here so I could write about his 1st head injury! I use this as my journal :) so I had to write about it. Last night Mason slammed his head just right onto the railing on the stairs & busted it open; so we got out the super glue to glue it shut. Ok, now here is the part I am sure alot of you moms are saying, "Oh MY GOSH you glued his head shut!!!" but trust me, super glue is a mothers best friend when you have as many kids as I do and you don't want anyone taking them from you because your at the hospital all the time getting things sewn and stapled shut--plus I had to watch while they held down Hunter to staple his head shut afew years ago and that is just plain torture--for him and for me! Anyways- there is a point to this story. When we went upstairs to go to bed Mason told me, "finawee, I finawee have somefing for Hawoween" when I asked him what he meant he said, "well, now I will have this coo scawr for Hawoween....rarrrr!" I've decided that Mason was put on this earth to make me laugh, and he does a SUPER good job!

Libertys 1st day at Dance

Wednesday August 8th was Libertys 1st dance class. She has been dying to go and it was hard last year when she could only watch Emberlyn and not participate. I have them both in the same class and they were very excited to go. My niece Makenna is in there too, which might create for some fun drama; but we'll see! :) I just wish Libs had gotten more sleep the night before because she was so tired during class that she just stood on her square, twirl led her hair and sucked her thumb while she watched the other girls. LOL Hopefully next week will be better--at least shes super cute in her outfit!

Our saving fun!

About 9 years ago I became great friends with a lady named Michelle Richins whom I adore. She has 7 children of her own (the last two being twin girls) anywhoo, she told me that every year to save for their family vacation they would save all their change--she dealt in cash and would purposefully make change when she paid for things and come home and put it in the jar. I have been trying to get my family to practice this, but we have never stayed committed to it; until this year. Last September when we got home from our San Diego trip I found a jar and said "that's it, this time we are going to do it!" So we have been saving our change and dumping in dollars here and there and for family night this past week it was time to count our efforts. $751.00 was our grand total!!! I was very proud of us; especially because it's only been in the last 6 months we got serious about it. The kids have had a lot of fun finding change and running to the vacation jar and they had even more fun sorting, counting and rolling all the change. It was a good experience for the kids and we had fun doing it!
