It's moving day!!

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe, who had so many children she didn't know what to do. Isn't that how it goes? (After I posted this picture I started cracking up cuz this seriously looks like my house with kids climbing the walls and out the windows!!!) Well, I'm not THAT old, and I thought about moving to a shoe, but thank goodness we didn't have to because we finally found a house. I know, I know, most of you are wondering what the HECK I am talking about. I haven't blogged about this at all because I have been so incredibly stressed out about it. We are selling our house and about 3 months ago we decided that there is no way that I could handle the stress of showing our house while it is on the market, so we would move into a rental. Sounds easy enough right? HAHAHA! Well obstacle #1 was finding a house that would work for our family, it didn't have to be big, I was actually wanting to downsize, our 3700 SF is WAY too much for me to take care of right now! Obstacle #2 was finding something close to Devins office which was proving more difficult than I ever thought. Obstacle #3 was the fact that I was being honest when I was filing out the rental applications and when people found out how many children we had they said "SEE YA"!! So moving into a shoe was sounding pretty good!! I spent many many hours on the computer looking, many many hours looking at houses and all through the process praying that where ever the Lord wanted our family to be, that would be the house that would work out. So Thursday we got the call that I have been dreaming of for 3 months and we finally have a house!! We are so excited to have this nightmare over with, the kids are so excited to have this nightmare over with! We are moving on Monday.....can you tell we are ready for this nightmare to be over with!! So I wont be posting for a little while but all is well and I'm sure the next post will not be as delightful when the sadness has completely set in of leaving our home that we have lived in for the past 9 years! Change is good and we are looking forward to what the future has to bring us!

Dad Rocks!!

Devins the coolest! His mind just works different than mine does, because I don't know how he comes up with the things he does. About a month ago he came home with this thing for Brigham. Its what his guys use to put boxes of tiles on to wheel around a job so it's easier to move the tile. So Devin got one for Brigham, bought straps & buckles, screwed them onto the board and TADAAA! The boy is mobile! We call it his scooter and he absolutely loves it. It has saved my life because he rolls around the house and plays all day. Thanks DAD!!!

Time to vote

I need viewer feedback on the following post. Many years ago, when just a few children roamed the halls of this house, I used to send out these super cute homemade Christmas cards. About 4 years ago I started these Christmas cards, ok, maybe it was more like 5. Anyways, every year, I pull out the unfinished cards, swear that "this year I am going to finish them" and every year they go back in the sack. Two years ago I got almost all of them assembled, our 8 (did you hear me say EIGHT!!) Christmas themed Halloween costumes sewn, a family picture taken, pictures printed, letters written, envelopes stuffed, and for whatever stupid reason, they STILL didn't get finished and they are all still in the bag waiting. So here is the Vote......Do I finally toss them? Conceding to the fact that sometimes no matter how hard I try some things just never get finished and the cute handmade Christmas cards were never meant to make it to my dear family and friends. OR do I save them for ONE more year, in hopes that next year will be the year that they actually get finished and find their way to mailboxes across the country? I know, I know....I could start now, and have them done and ready to go....believe me, that is the goal every time..but somehow it still never happens. So there you go........the polls are open!

10 months really??

I can't believe this little man is my baby! 9 months is still a baby, but 10 months is close to a year and thats just not ok with me! Luckily he is spoiled and lazy, so he barely crawls (more scoots) and at least that makes him feel more like a baby still. He is the best baby in the world and I love that he will let me rock him to sleep sometimes. He lights up any time he sees any of his brothers or sisters and especially Dad. He just happily plays all day long and give big bear hugs and it learning to give kisses, blows bubbles and now will stick his tongue out on command (a fun trick that the kids think is hysterical every time!) I came around the corner and found that the girls had left the box of goldfish for him...sweet girls. So I couldn't help but grab my camera.

Poor baby is learning the hard way about climbing on things
:( Just as I went to put my camera away the box of goldfish slipped out from under him. I know....mean mom that I took a picture of him in all his pain! It is his 1st bloody nose!

We are a Happy Family

Sorry about the long line of pictures, I tried to do a slide show, but it wasnt working out. Can I just start out by saying how much I REALLY REALLY love my family! I was thinking this morning how sad I am for others who are not lucky enough to have the family relationships that I am blessed with. I am so blessed to have my parents and all of my siblings so close to me (ok, Cassies in Utah, thats not so close....but sometimes, I just pretend she still lives here with us!!) We have such amazing relationships and I don't know what I would do without the strength my family gives me. Im so grateful for their love and their examples. I truly am very blessed!!
(Thanks to my nephew Chris for the wonderful pictures!!)

Wedding bells......almost

So as I posted before my baby sister left for Utah to follow her sweetie and we got to see her for Christmas (YIPEE!) and one thing we did while she was her was have a girls night and go dress shopping.......wedding dress shopping!! She doesn't have the ring on her finger yet, but as soon as it is done being made the question will be officially asked and the engagement will be official. She just didn't want to shop for dresses all by her lonesome back in Utah. So we had a blast and got to go with her. Thanks Cas for letting us share that with you!!
