Time to vote

I need viewer feedback on the following post. Many years ago, when just a few children roamed the halls of this house, I used to send out these super cute homemade Christmas cards. About 4 years ago I started these Christmas cards, ok, maybe it was more like 5. Anyways, every year, I pull out the unfinished cards, swear that "this year I am going to finish them" and every year they go back in the sack. Two years ago I got almost all of them assembled, our 8 (did you hear me say EIGHT!!) Christmas themed Halloween costumes sewn, a family picture taken, pictures printed, letters written, envelopes stuffed, and for whatever stupid reason, they STILL didn't get finished and they are all still in the bag waiting. So here is the Vote......Do I finally toss them? Conceding to the fact that sometimes no matter how hard I try some things just never get finished and the cute handmade Christmas cards were never meant to make it to my dear family and friends. OR do I save them for ONE more year, in hopes that next year will be the year that they actually get finished and find their way to mailboxes across the country? I know, I know....I could start now, and have them done and ready to go....believe me, that is the goal every time..but somehow it still never happens. So there you go........the polls are open!

I've been thinking about this all morning. I say, throw them away. Start from scratch again this year. Just start super early. Like October.

Keep them and try again next year. If they're almost done your more likely to get them finished than if you were to start from scratch, just add an updated pic to them and you're all good. Hope your doing great. You really are superwoman!

As long as I am on the list, ship em out this year. Like Marie said you are so close to being done. If you start over you may never finish. If you can, paste a new pic on and good to go. I love getting updated pictures, so fill out my envelope.

Keep 'em. I'm always looking for that thing that I threw away 2 months ago because I never used it. Super frustrating.

I say keep them for yourself and your posterity and if you ever get around to finishing them, great, even if it's years down the road but only finish them if it's fun for YOU, not a stress. You have lots of important things to do everyday, I'm sure, so I wouldn't stress or worry about Christmas cards. At least that's my opinion, which is why I just do a Christmas blog each year. However, if I enjoyed making Christmas cards I'd probably do it.

Ok! I say keep the ones you've already completed.

In July I propose we have a girls weekend & work ONLY on Christmas cards & complete them before we go home. If someone finishes early, then they help others, that way everyone gets theirs done.

Then, in your card this year include the letter/card from before along with your new card! I think it might be kinda fun for people to know you were thinking of them!

Maybe your theme this year could be something from A Christmas Carol like "ghosts of Christmas pasts" & take you're family photo on halloween again or something.

However, I strongly suggest you do not attempt at trying to finish any that are half way there. Only keep what you have 100% ready to go.

That's my take anyway!!!

I say assenble all kids and have them work on them too! Would they look just like yours? HECK NO, but that is what is so neat about it. I love kid cards, the crappier the better!

They are so cute--I would save them and send them in July. You know, the whole Christmas in July thing. I realize they're Christmas cards, but seriously--I only have 2 kids and I've already given up on ever getting my cards out. I think if I were more willing to send Valentines or Easter greetings instead, life would be much easier! Anyway--send them when you finish them, be it March, July, October, or December!

When you have something that has been "nagging" at you for that many years, it's time to get rid of it.
Give yourself credit for the huge effort you have put into it, but why remind yourself every year that you STILL haven't finished?
Start fresh and start in August!

I say toss!! Go with heather and lets do something in the summer! I always want to make cute ones and I have 2 kids! I don't know why you are so silly and want to make cute ones! Throw in the towel! Make a cute digital one this year!! :)
